Paralegal – Private Client

Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week, with 30 minutes for lunch)
Type: Full-time, permanent

This is a varied and hands-on role supporting the Private Client department. You will work closely with two senior fee earners and play an important part in delivering a high standard of client care and file management.

This role offers the opportunity to take on increased responsibility and develop fee-earning capability over time.

Key duties will include:
• Preparation and review of legal documentation
• Liaising with clients, external organisations and third parties
• Managing case files and ensuring accurate record keeping
• Maintaining and updating client records and file data
• General administrative support, including diary management
• Acting as a first point of contact for clients
• Supporting two senior fee earners within the department
• Assisting with the ongoing development and growth of the department

Experience and Skills Required

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Previous knowledge of Private Client work (Wills, Probate, LPAs advantageous)
• Experience using case management systems (training will be provided on our system)
• Ability to work from dictation
• Strong communication and client care skills
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
